Autodidactism

I heart autodidacts. Andreas Bitesnich is one. I kind of admire people, who just follow their very own path. In art, I find that working autodidact means developing and finding these very own paths. Without people telling you what to do and how to do it. Not that technical education does not matter, but the feeling must come first, I say. He found a great path for himself, and is now one of the most wanted nude and portrait photographer in the world.

I finally made it to his current exhibition More Nudes at the Galerie Westlicht yesterday. Today’s the very last day of the (already extended) exhibition. Go there, be fascinated. Now!

Personal Note: I either want his book Travel for birthday, or my own book Travel. That might be to expensive for you though.

I was going to say “thanks for the tip, this link will be clicked and checked out” – and after 2 minutes on the site, I realised I knew some of his work. guess that was highly probable considering how known he is (and yet, his name did not ring a bell!). Vienna is buzzing with exhibitions that must be checked out. ^^
