Suuns shining
I should have been embarassed. The very amazing Canadian band Suuns played at the Rhiz in Vienna last night. M. was so very kind to introduce me to the four piece from Montreal before the show. And what did I do? I told them that I had spent the day having the last song of their debut album Zeroes QC stuck in my head. Organ Blues. “You know, it’s actually a song by T.Rex that we have played live a lot, but not for a while now.” Oooops.

They were not offended though. Not at all. You can impossibly imagine my state of happiness when they started the show. With their Organ Blues. And yes, their show was “full of thrash, immediacy, and spastic explosiveness”, as the Brooklyn Vegan described it. And fucking bloody amazing, as I would. I felt close to something.
Then I went outside for a minute and air. Inside was packed. When I was back, everything was blurred. Sweaty eyes and steamy lenses and enthusiastic people (I like) screaming (for more). This this-is-a-very-special-concert-collective-happiness thing. So at ease.
Thank you Suuns for coming and playing and being so kind. Thank you ink for booking them. Thank you M. for introducing. Thank you Cyberlab for developing so fast (impossible in Montreal, I learned). Thank you.
I see you soon. You can see 18 photos from the show in large and on black here.
