Ja gut. Wenn etwas zum vierten Mal (nach 2009, 2010 und 2011) passiert, dann ist es wirklich schon traditionell. Da kommt man nicht mehr drum rum. Genauso wenig wie um den Hinweis auf die Bilder, die Christian Lehner in selbiger Zeitspanne in New York so gemacht hat. Die Bilder hier sind aus dem Jahre 2012 und von mir. Wieder nicht aus New York (da war ich noch immer noch nie), dafür aus Wien, St. Pölten und Barcelona.

I should have been embarassed. The very amazing Canadian band Suuns played at the Rhiz in Vienna last night. M. was so very kind to introduce me to the four piece from Montreal before the show. And what did I do? I told them that I had spent the day having the last song of their debut album Zeroes QC stuck in my head. Organ Blues. “You know, it’s actually a song by T.Rex that we have played live a lot, but not for a while now.” Oooops.

Hmmmm. Das Popfest ist war schon sehr schön. Ich sitz’ da grad so vor mich hin auf einer Parkbank, unter einer irgendwie unentschlossenen Sonne und von lieben Menschen umgeben und der Willi Resetarits singt da linker Hand auf der Bühne ein schönes Lied, nachdem der Nino aus Wien gemeinsam mit dem Sigi Maron den heutigen Legenden- brunch mit Du Oasch eröffnet hat. Letztes Jahr hat er das auch schon gespielt, gemeinsam mit dem Skero, aber das dieses Mal war irgendwie noch schöner.

“I just can’t keep the pace”, even though I’m trying. Reviewing retrospectively though, it becomes obvious that certain stories were never really worth telling from the start. This one is ok I think. Two months ago I went to London for the music, it already feels like forever ago. I arrived in Heathrow on the afternoon of a sunny London monday, 16 hours after I had finally decided to go. She was on the same flight.

October. Greatrecordreleasemonth, so it seems. Last week, Francis International Airport released their very much acclaimed masterpiece “In The Woods“, which has become FM4′s Album of the Week and peaked the charts of profils Playlist already, with more to come. And today sees the release of another fantastic record. It’s written and played and everything by that guy that is hiding behind his piano up there. That guy is called Toph Taylor. Trouble Over Tokyo is his band and the record shall be called The Hurricane.

“Jared Leto in the house!” Diese Worte, die ein Pilot - kurz nachdem eben dieser Schauspieler den Herrn L’Heritier von FM4 zu den ebenso bestürzenden wie wahren Worten “Ich habe das Ende der Musik gesehen.” gezwungen hat – auf meiner Facebook-Pinnwand hinterlassen hat, ließen mich kurz erschaudern.
